Marstudio has been helping several clients improve their SEO, so we decided to share some basic SEO knowledge, tips, and tricks.
Every page of your website has 3 SEO components: a page title, meta description, and keywords. Each SEO component should be unique. No two pages should share a page title or a meta description, and no two pages should have identical keywords.
The 3 SEO Components
1. PAGE TITLE
This is a very short description of the webpage’s content.
The description must
• be written as a sentence
• include a geolocation tag (ex: Rockville, Maryland)
To make your page title even better, it should be written in a way where the most important information falls within the maximum word count that search engines will display: 70 characters. The page title should also effectively communicate exactly what the webpage is about and entice the user to click.

2. META DESCRIPTION
This is a short summary of the webpage’s content.
• use copy directly from the webpage
• include a few keywords throughout (explained next)
To make your meta description even better, incorporate words/phrases that are most likely to be searched by users and arrange the information in a way so that the most important information falls within the maximum word count (156 characters) that search engines will display.

This is a list of words/phrases that relate to the webpage’s content.
Google does not use keywords, but all other search engines rely on them. The maximum length of a keyword is three words, and you should not use more than 25 keywords per webpage.
The keywords must
• be content relevant
• include geolocation tags
To make your keywords even better, try to write them in a way that resembles phrases that are most likely to be searched by users.
